What actions can lead to the rejection of an application for the Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme? (Part 2)

The document cannot be provided.

As mentioned earlier, some friends did not evaluate themselves objectively and professionally when scoring themselves, which ultimately led to self-sabotage. For example, in the comprehensive points system regarding 'work experience', one requirement is 'not less than 2/5 years in a senior position'.

Many applicants do not understand the definition of a 'senior position' and what qualifies as one. Their current job position may seem like a senior position, but in reality, many do not meet the criteria.

The definition of this position is clearly emphasized in Article 37 of the 'Application Guidelines' by the Hong Kong Immigration Department: 'Work experience in a senior position usually refers to positions responsible for the overall performance of the organization. For small companies, a senior position is equivalent to a board member; for larger companies or organizations, a senior position is equivalent to a department head or project team leader.'

Under this premise, titles such as [Manager], [Vice Chairman/President], or [Department Head] are insufficient to prove one's qualifications within the organization. For example, in the talent points list, the 'Asset Management Specialist' category has already provided references: at least a bachelor's degree in business or other related fields (such as economics, finance, law, and accounting), and having received on-the-job training and industry continuing education courses and programs; possessing at least three years of relevant experience in the fund management industry, knowledge of finance and market development, as well as language skills (such as English and/or Mandarin).

Friends who want to gain extra points from the talent list must provide documents to prove that they meet the qualifications and experience requirements of the corresponding profession in the talent list.

Documents are not standardized or recognized.

For example, many friends provided work reference letters from previous employers as required, but lacked performance proof materials or corresponding business licenses, resulting in their work qualifications not being accepted.

Or, due to a former employer going bankrupt or being unreachable, they cannot provide work proof and do not know how to provide relevant work proof in such cases, leading to their work years not being accepted. For instance, some friends provided real estate certificates as asset proof but overlooked the required property valuation report, resulting in their assets not being accepted.
