Unveiling the preferential policies that Hong Kong residents can enjoy in mainland China.

With the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, national policies are greatly tilted in favor of individuals with Hong Kong residency. Hong Kong residents can enjoy the following benefits:

Employment Benefits:
Mainland recruitment of Hong Kong and Macao civil servants: As a "pilot demonstration area", Shenzhen has already started the recruitment of civil servants targeting Hong Kong and Macao residents, planning to hire 4 Hong Kong civil servants this year.
Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area personal income tax subsidy of 15%: For foreign high-end talents and urgently needed talents working in the nine cities of the Pearl River Delta, the government will provide financial subsidies for the portion of personal income tax paid that exceeds 15% of the taxable income.

Investment Benefits:
Housing Benefits: Hong Kong residents can purchase homes in the nine mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area—Hong Kong residents do not need to provide proof of work or study, and can freely purchase a self-use home in the nine cities of the Greater Bay Area.
Tax exemption for car purchases: Overseas students who have registered at a formal institution for more than one year can purchase a domestic car duty-free through customs.

Education Benefits
Direct enrollment in public schools in the Greater Bay Area: Hong Kong residents working in the Greater Bay Area can have their children attend public schools in the mainland and enjoy a series of educational resources such as participating in the high school entrance examination and enrolling in high school, just like other mainland students.
Participate in the Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan joint examination, with less competition: Hong Kong students can take the Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan joint examination to apply for 316 universities in the mainland, including many prestigious universities such as 211/985, with lower score requirements.
Take the Hong Kong DSE exam to attend prestigious universities: Hong Kong residents can use their Hong Kong DSE scores to directly enroll in 127 universities in the mainland (including top universities like Tsinghua, Peking University, Fudan, and Shanghai Jiao Tong) through the "exemption admission plan."
Various living subsidies: Welfare policies for international students (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan students) regarding living and housing rental subsidies, for example: in Shenzhen—living subsidies are 15,000 yuan/person for undergraduates, 25,000 yuan/person for master's students, and 30,000 yuan/person for doctoral students. They can also apply for local household registration and rent government-provided affordable housing and international student apartments.
