Undergraduate application requirements for Ireland

1. Academic Ability

Applicants need to complete three years of high school to confirm their eligibility for formal applications. Most schools will assess the results of the college entrance examination, so everyone must also participate in a unified entrance examination and ensure they can achieve relatively excellent results.

All schools will consider GPA as a basic condition for reviewing students. To enter the desired major for undergraduate education, international students must present an average score of over 3.0 to prove their academic ability.

2. Language Proficiency

The requirements for English are also quite high. Direct admission requires students to have excellent IELTS scores, generally needing a total score of over 6.0 to meet the normal demands of course study and keep up with the learning pace.

If students cannot achieve a score of 6.0, they can only apply for foundation studies first. However, there are also language requirements for foundation courses, with IELTS needing a score of 5.0, as a basic foundation is necessary to better accept advanced course teaching.

3. Application Materials

The hardware is a must-meet condition, while the software can enhance the chances of successful admission. Therefore, time must also be spent preparing various documents. First, students need to meet the requirements of the school's major and prepare the necessary materials, ensuring they are at least complete.

Resumes and statements should focus on highlighting one's strengths, while study plans should clearly outline future study intentions. Recommendation letters are evaluations from others about the applicant, which need to be objective and confirm identity, requiring a relatively close relationship.

4. Application Process

Initially, confirm the target and understand the requirements for admission, then enter the formal material preparation stage, organizing materials that meet the requirements. After the school opens the application channels, submit the application form and mail the materials.

The review process takes one to two months. During this time, visa materials can be prepared. After receiving the offer and confirming admission, submit the visa application to the embassy. Once approved, obtain the student visa and prepare to go abroad.
