I have always focused on Hong Kong, neglecting the neighboring city of Macau.

Always focused on Hong Kong, neglecting the neighboringMacauthis city. Previously, I had encountered some friends consulting aboutMacau immigrationrelated matters. I remember that there aren't many ways to obtain residency in Macau (other than marriage immigration for a one-way permit, other routes seem to have stricter requirements for applicants).
The impression of Macau is that besides casinos, there aren't many institutions for employment, unlike Hong Kong where there are various industries; as long as the applicant meets the basic talent introduction conditions and the hiring company meets the qualifications for foreign employment, they can apply for relevant visas to settle in Hong Kong.

What are the advantages of Macau residency?
Advantage 1: Economic prosperity and high living standards
Political privileges: political stability, one country, two systems for fifty years unchanged. The Macau SAR government enjoys a high degree of autonomy, legislative power, and final adjudication power.
Good social security, people live and work in peace and contentment, and the economy is prosperous. Years of high economic growth and the lowest unemployment rate in Asia have brought residents' living standards to the level of developed countries.
Advantage 2: Abundant business opportunities in Macau
Investment privileges: After the completion of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, Macau, Hong Kong, and the Pearl River Delta will be connected in a line, making Macau, located at the hub, a crucial position.
Advantage 3: Good welfare benefits
Welfare privileges: an excellent welfare system, a complete medical and social security system. Residents can enjoy free medical care, pensions, elderly allowances, disability allowances, social relief funds, unemployment benefits, etc.
Advantage 4: Immigration privileges
In Western immigration countries such as Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, laws stipulate that new immigrants must meet residency conditions to retain their status or join the nationality, while Macau's immigration laws do not have immigration monitoring restrictions, allowing applicants to choose to reside and develop in any region after application, saving immigration costs while retaining Chinese nationality, making it very convenient to enter and exit the mainland.
Advantage 5: Childbearing privileges
In the past decade, Macau's natural population growth rate has been close to zero. Therefore, the government has never implemented a birth control policy; as long as they have legal residency, children born in Macau can obtain Macau residency.
Regarding childbirth issues, Article 38 of the Basic Law clearly states: The rights of Macau residents to marry freely, establish families, and voluntarily give birth are protected by law.
Voluntary childbirthrefers to whether a couple wants children and how many children they want, which is decided by both parties, and the government will not intervene.
It can be seen that"voluntary childbirth" is a fundamental right granted to Macau residents by the Basic Law, and the laws of the Macau Special Administrative Region must effectively protect it.
Since 2005, the Macau SAR government has listed increasing the population as an important measure for Macau's economic development.
Advantage 6: Educational privileges
Macao residents can enjoy fifteen years of free Chinese and English education (same as Hong Kong). High school graduates can benefit from the national policy that allows them to apply for domestic prestigious universities with lower scores, and they can also go directly to study in Europe and the United States.
Preferential policies for Hong Kong and Macao candidates applying to mainland universities: The difficulty of the college entrance examination for Hong Kong and Macao students is lower than that of the mainland; the admission score line is lower than the domestic admission score line.
Advantage Seven: Privileges of Passage
Holders of Macao SAR passports can enter and exit the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, etc. without a visa.More than 130 countries, and the number of visa-free countries will continue to increase.
Provides convenience for the whole family to go out for business, inspections, tourism, studying abroad, and settling down.
Advantage Eight: Business Privileges
Low tax rates and free trade port status, easy establishment of international companies, no need to provide registered capital, and low business costs.
Macao products can be exported to the mainland market with zero tariffs, and most imported products and transshipment goods are exempt from tariffs.
Advantage Nine: Financial Privileges
A complete financial system, flexible currency management system, no cash withdrawal restrictions in banks, and free flow of funds, increasing the international competitiveness of enterprises.
Advantage Ten: Living Privileges
Same roots, same language and culture, social traditions and living habits are similar, making it easy to integrate into the local society. In recent years, it has become the preferred investment and immigration area for many overseas Chinese and Chinese residents.
