Step 3: Activate the visa upon entering HK.
Enter through the HK resident channel, inform the counter that it is your first entry, and take the small white slip provided, which contains the conditions for staying in Hong Kong.

Step 4: Apply for an ID card.
Make an appointment at GoHK, the Hong Kong government one-stop service (there is also an app version available for download), or walk in and queue yourself.

Step 5: Collect the ID card.
The ID card cannot be collected immediately after processing; you need to go and collect it after receiving the receipt. If you are not in Hong Kong, you can ask a friend to collect it on your behalf with the receipt.

Overseas applicants do not need to apply for a D visa (stay visa); entering with a passport and visa is sufficient, so Step 2 can be skipped.

Completing the above 5 steps makes you a Hong Kong resident, and applicants can work in Hong Kong; those with children can also come to study in Hong Kong~
