What factors can improve the success rate of outstanding talent applications?

 

 

 

1. Educational Bonus

The talent program requires applicants to have at least a bachelor's degree or higher, and the higher the degree, the higher the score. If you are a graduate of one of the top 100 universities in the world, you will receive an additional 30 points, greatly enhancing your competitiveness in the "education" scoring segment!


2. International Work Experience Bonus

As an international city that blends East and West, having international work experience makes it easier for outstanding individuals to integrate into Hong Kong. If you have 2 years or more (cumulative) of international work experience, you will receive an additional 15 points.

 

3. Industry Bonus

Recent approval data shows that the finance and IT sectors are favored by the Hong Kong government. In the past two years, over 50% of the approved applicants have been from these two industries, indicating that the Hong Kong government aims to attract more outstanding individuals from these sectors to drive innovation in Hong Kong.

Of course, the Hong Kong government does not favor one or two industries; it will introduce outstanding talents from various industries to make Hong Kong more diverse. Moreover, the Hong Kong government will periodically adjust the direction of talent introduction based on market demand and urban development. In October last year, the Hong Kong government updated a "Talent List" that outlines 13 categories of talents currently needed in Hong Kong. If an applicant's relevant experience falls within the scope of the "Talent List," they will receive an additional 30 points.

 

4. Documentation Bonus

Throughout the application process, the required proof or supporting documents are diverse, and it is not sufficient to prepare just a few documents. The application materials must be multi-dimensional, precise, organized, and logically sound. They should showcase the applicant's educational and work experiences to the Hong Kong government. However, it is not effective to submit all kinds of documents for review; the reviewing officials see dozens of applicants' materials each day. If your documentation does not stand out and is too generic, your "excellence" may not be recognized. The accuracy, appropriate presentation, and completeness of the documentation are fundamental to success.
