How to apply for a dependent visa?

The main applicant of the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme, their spouse, and unmarried children under 8 years old can apply for a Hong Kong resident identity card at the same time when they first obtain the visa. The main applicant needs to prepare some documents when submitting the application to the Immigration Department.

What documents are required?

1.Dependent's application form ID997, which can be downloaded from the Immigration Department's official website, or you can leave a message to receive it if needed.

2.Applicant's photo, generally two-inch white background ID photo is sufficient.

3.Original and photocopy of the guarantor's Hong Kong and Macau travel permit, original and photocopy of the visa.

4.Original and photocopy of the applicant's identity card and Hong Kong and Macau travel permit.

5.Provide reasonable proof of relationship (such as birth medical certificate, marriage certificate, household registration book, etc.).

6.Proof that the main applicant has no adverse immigration records or criminal record.

7.Proof that the main applicant can maintain the dependent's living conditions in Hong Kong above a basic level and provide appropriate accommodation.
