1. Apply for citizenship together with both parents or one parent.
Basic requirements:
1Must be a minor under 18 years old at the time of application submission;
2Must already be a landed permanent resident of Canada;
3At least one parent (including legal adoptive parents) must already be a Canadian citizen or will submit the citizenship application together with you;
4Your permanent resident status has no conditions attached;
5You have not received a removal order (i.e., been notified by the Canadian Immigration Department to leave);
6You have not been banned from entry or denied entry due to criminal or security reasons;
7Applicants over the age of 14 need to take the citizenship oath;
8No language proficiency proof is required.
2. Minors applying for citizenship independently.
1Must be a minor under 18 years old at the time of submitting the citizenship application;
2Must be a landed permanent resident of Canada;
3Must have actually resided in Canada for 1,095 days within the past five years at the time of application submission;
4If required by law to file taxes, you need to provide personal income tax records for at least three of the past five years;
5Neither of your parents is a Canadian citizen;
6Your permanent resident status has no restrictions;
7You have not received a removal order (i.e., been notified by the Canadian Immigration Department to leave);
8You have not been banned from entry or denied entry due to criminal or security reasons;
9Applicants over the age of 14 need to take the citizenship oath;

Of course, if you were born in Canada, you automatically acquire Canadian citizenship regardless of your parents' status. If you were born in another country but at least one of your parents was a Canadian citizen before your birth, you can also directly become a Canadian citizen.
