The main steps of the adjustment are as follows:

1. Process change, cancellation of the interview stage
Before the adjustment, after the approval of the Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme, applicants needed to go to Hong Kong twice: the first time for an interview to verify application materials, and the second time to activate their Hong Kong identity in person. After the adjustment, the interview stage is canceled, and a visa is issued directly after approval.

2. Quota change, no quota limit
Before the adjustment, the Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme set a quota of 4,000 each year, with fixed quota restrictions. After the adjustment, the quota restriction was removed, but it is currently for a period of 2 years, with no limit during 2023 and 2024. As long as the application meets the approval standards of the Hong Kong Immigration Department, there is no limit on approval.

3. New points added, major companies +20 points
Before the adjustment, the maximum score for work experience was only 55 points, with only one additional point for overseas work of more than 2 years, which could add an extra 15 points. After the adjustment, the maximum score for work experience can be 75 points. After the adjustment, 3 years of work experience in major companies can add an additional 20 points. Major companies include listed companies, Forbes Global 2000, Fortune Global 500, Hurun China 500, etc.
