There are many applicants from prestigious schools, well-known companies, with high degrees, various patents, awards, or certificates; outstanding talents are everywhere. For many applicants scoring between 80-100 points, after evaluation, I find that they do not have obvious advantages in their applications, and I would advise them against applying.

In the application materials for the Hong Kong talent scheme, many are used to prove whether your scoring meets the standards.

For example, if you state in your application that you are an outstanding talent, mere words are not enough; the immigration department certainly hopes you can provide materials to prove you are a talent. Many people are unable to provide their work certificates, management certificates, awards, patents, etc., and the immigration department cannot determine whether you are the type of talent needed in Hong Kong.

If your work materials are not sufficiently prepared, the risk of rejection is relatively high.

However, flexibility does not mean it is easy to renew; the first three years after approval are just the beginning, and the following five years are crucial. To obtain permanent residency in Hong Kong, applicants need to have the resources and ability for renewal. Processing Hong Kong identity can cost tens of thousands, but the proof of residence and work needed for renewal will still require a certain amount of money.
