Your first degree must be from a top 100 university to apply for the High Talent Program. However, the good news is that if your school has been ranked in the top 100 within the last 5 years, it is also acceptable!

The universities in the global top 100 must be among the top 100 universities listed in one of the four global university rankings published by QS, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Soft Science), Times Higher Education, and U.S. News & World Report.

The universities from mainland China that are ranked include: Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, University of Science and Technology of China, Nanjing University, Sun Yat-sen University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

Currently, the top 100 master's programs are not recognized by the 'High Talent Program'.
