Are the Hong Kong residency visa and the Hong Kong business visa the same?
The Hong Kong residency visa is a type of resident visa, which has no residency limit and allows for legal work, study, and business operations.
In contrast, a business visa is merely a visitor status, allowing residence in Hong Kong for no more than seven days. It does not permit legal work, study, or business operations. A business visa does not confer residency rights and cannot be converted to permanent residency in Hong Kong in any way. However, after seven years, a residency visa can be converted to permanent residency in Hong Kong.
