1. Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme
Referred to as the Hong Kong Quality Talent Scheme, it is a points-based immigration method. There are two scoring systems: one is the "Achievement-based Points System," and the other is the "Comprehensive Points System." Applicants who score above 80 points can apply. The renewal model is 3+3+2. Unlike the training and specialized talent programs, the Hong Kong Quality Talent Scheme does not require applicants to work in Hong Kong, and they can be outside of Hong Kong both before and after approval, which is the choice for most people among all Hong Kong immigration programs.
 

2. Technology Talent Admission Scheme
Applicants need to work in research and development in one of the designated 13 technology areas, and the hiring company must obtain a valid quota approved by the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission. This program cannot be applied for individually; it is mainly aimed at eligible enterprises to submit applications, which are then allocated quotas by the enterprises.
