Hong Kong Education University accepts mainland Gaokao scores for direct undergraduate applications, implementing independent admissions. The total Gaokao score (excluding bonus points) must reach above the first-tier line or the special type admission control score line for the respective province or city;

The Gaokao English score must be 120 or above (with a full score of 150). For programs where Chinese is the primary language of instruction, the minimum English score requirement is 110 (with a full score of 150).
