What types of visas are available for Hong Kong?

 

 

 

Hong Kong visas include: tourist visa (including G and L), Hong Kong business visa, Hong Kong work visa, Hong Kong travel visa, Hong Kong student visa, Hong Kong study visa, Hong Kong labor visa.

 

 

Personal travel (G)
Divided into three months or one year, valid for single, double, or multiple entries, with each stay not exceeding seven days. The G visa does not require entry into Hong Kong through a travel agency; you can enter and exit on your own with a permit.

 

 

Group travel (L)
Divided into three months for single or double entries, once or twice a year, with each stay not exceeding seven days, must enter and exit as part of a group.

 

 

Business (S)
Issued to individuals engaging in business activities in Hong Kong. Divided into three categories: once every three months, multiple entries every three months, and multiple entries for one year. Holders of multiple entry visas can stay in Hong Kong for 7 days each time within the validity period.
Labor visa (also known as the Import Labor Program)


Each visa is valid for a maximum of 24 months, and must leave Hong Kong after the visa expires. Renewal applications can be submitted by the employing company.

 

 

Family visit (T)
Issued to individuals visiting family in Hong Kong. Divided into three types: once a month, once every three months, and multiple entries every three months. Holders of multiple entry visas have no limit on the duration of each stay.

 

 

● Visiting spouse, parents (including spouse's parents), and children can be issued a visa for once every three months or multiple entries; the three-month single entry visa allows a stay of no more than 14 days in Hong Kong; the three-month multiple entry visa allows a stay of no more than 90 days from the date of first entry.


● Visiting siblings, issued a three-month single entry visa, with a stay of no more than 14 days in Hong Kong.


● Relatives from the mainland of staff from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong, as well as officers of the People's Liberation Army stationed in Hong Kong, can apply for a family visit visa to Hong Kong, issued as a three-month multiple entry visa, with a stay of no more than 90 days from the date of first entry.

 


Others (Q)
Valid for once or twice every three months, once or twice a year, with each stay not exceeding fourteen days.

 

 

Stay (D)
The stay visa (D visa) is issued by national authorities to individuals and their families who have been approved by relevant Hong Kong departments to study, work, or train in Hong Kong. The stay visa is a multiple entry visa, and the validity period for exiting is based on the approval period granted by the relevant Hong Kong departments.
