1. Processing time for the Hong Kong IANG visa
Recent graduates from non-local institutions can apply for the visa as long as they have obtained a transcript and graduation certificate issued by a Hong Kong institution. However, it is important to note that applications must be made within six months of the graduation date on the certificate to enjoy the benefits of unconditional application for a one-year stay on the IANG visa. 2. Activation of student visa
During the pandemic, many students from the mainland could only attend online classes due to the closure of borders between Hong Kong and the mainland. However, if you wish to apply for the IANG visa and obtain Hong Kong residency after graduation, you must enter Hong Kong within the specified time to activate your student visa.

Generally, students must arrive in Hong Kong within three months from the date the student visa is issued! If you do not enter within the specified time, the visa will be invalidated, and it will be difficult for the school to assist you again!

If the student visa is not activated by the time of graduation, you can still graduate on schedule and obtain a Hong Kong degree, but your hope of obtaining the one-year IANG visa for unconditional stay will be dashed, and the application for permanent residency after seven years will also become more distant.
