For example, if you study a one-year master's program in Hong Kong: 7 years = 1 year master's + 2 years IANG visa + 5 years work visa; if there is a break in between, the time of the one-year master's program and the one-year IANG visa will reset to zero and start counting again. Therefore, for students graduating this year, remember to start preparing to apply for the IANG visa before graduation!
 

2. There are thresholds for applying for the IANG visa.
In fact, when everyone sees "as long as you are a graduate student in Hong Kong, you can apply," they may easily overlook the thresholds for the IANG visa. Let me emphasize again: the salary and benefits conditions for the job you engage in after graduation need to meet market standards! The term "market standards" can be quite ambiguous and confusing, so I directly refer to the past standards provided by the Hong Kong government for reference. Most people's salaries are concentrated between 20,000 to 40,000, followed by 40,000 to 80,000, while those earning below 20,000 are relatively fewer. This means that you need to earn at least 20,000 monthly salary after graduation to apply for the IANG visa securely!
