Project Introduction:Singapore PR For Spouse (with/without accompanying children) of a SC/ PR

Client Group:

Spouses of Singapore citizens or permanent residents and their unmarried children under the age of21 (through legal marriage or legal adoption)

Service Content:

1. Assist clients in preparing materials

2. Online application for PR

Material Preparation Cycle:

2-3 months (may be extended in case of special situations such as translation or notarization)

Waiting Period:

4-6 months (may be extended in special situations)

Note:According to the Enlistment Act,all male Singapore citizens and permanent residents who are at least 16 and a half years old must register for national service (NS). Once they turn 18, they are required to enlist for a two-year full-time national service (NSF). After completing their full-time national service, they must also participate in 40 days of operationally ready national service each year until they reach the age of 50 (for officers) or 40 (for other ranks). Main applicants who obtain PR status through the professional/technical personnel scheme or investor scheme are exempt from national service, but dependents are not exempt. The last sentence explains: Males who successfully convert from EP to PR are not required to serve in the military. Any boy who obtains PR through parental application must serve in the military.
